One of the project of Chimeras’ World. Chimeras’ World keeps discussing the ways in which human beings perceive and receive information as well as move and live between the real and virtual worlds in the digital age. Chimeras’ World creates a theatrical space for physical wandering through the interactive spatial installation that connects the “real absent field” with the “virtual” one. In the process of interaction, the viewers will perceive and immerse themselves in the virtual space as well as investigate the technologically developed systems from the visual representation of and transition among data, space, time, and images. Ultimately, the digital coding in Chimeras’ World becomes a reconstructed state of existence and way of perceiving the world.
When the audience stands in front of the mirror, the Chimera will reflect the virtual image of the audience. The mirror keeps showing the virtual image even after the audience has left. The virtual image will fade away and be integrated gradually with the images of others.
